Web Design and GraphicsThis series presents concepts for designing and building Web sites. Lesson 2: Making Your Site Fast and Viewable (4.0) hours

Making Your Site Fast and Viewable teaches you how to explain the basic Web graphics formats and their best uses, trim graphics to make them as small as possible, and choose the right settings and treatments for scanned pictures. This course shows users how to make graphics that will download quickly on the Internet and will display well across all browsers and systems. Topics include Graphics Formats, Making Small Graphics, Trimming Size and Keeping Quality, and Scanning Images.

Lesson 3: Building Your Site with Images (3.0) hours

Building Your Site with Images teaches you how to select browser-safe colors for use on a Web site, choose effective color schemes, create background images, use transparency in GIFs, and build imagemaps. This course shows users how to create color schemes, backgrounds, GIF transparencies, and imagemaps for a Web site. Lesson 4: Building Your Site with Formatting (3.0) hours
