Photoshop CSThis series provides learners with an overview of the most frequently used features of Photoshop CS. It teaches learners about navigation, selection, layers, layer styles, adjustment layers, layer masks, filters, color, as well as a variety of painting, drawing, and text tools. Learners will also become familiar with using Photoshop CS for image output and Web design.

This series is for anyone who is interested in learning more about Photoshop CS. This online course contains 7 lessons and should take approximately 33 hours to complete.

Lesson 1: Getting Started (5.0) hours

Getting Started teaches you how to start and exit Photoshop CS, open, save, and close a document, insert images into a document, use the Help feature and Status bar, and set and customize preferences. Navigation and Layers teaches you how to use the Navigator and Info palettes, create layers, apply layer techniques, and use the History palette and History Brush. This course provides information on navigating and measuring within Photoshop CS, working with layers in a document, and using the History palette. Lesson 5: Layer Styles and Filters (5.0) hours

Layer Styles and Filters teaches you how to create a layer style, apply a filter, create custom patterns, and use Watermarks. This course provides information on creating and modifying layer styles and filters in Photoshop CS. Image Output and Web Design teaches you how to use Page Setup and Print with Preview options, prepare images for the Web, press, and printer, optimize documents, slice images, and use advanced Web design concepts. This course provides an overview on various file formats and compression schemes used for optimizing and saving the documents for Web and other print media. It also provides information about concepts related to advanced Web design.
