Lesson 1: Start Using JavaScript (5.0) hours

Start Using JavaScript teaches you how to compare JavaScript to Java, incorporate JavaScript into HTML on a Web page, work with JavaScript variables and expressions, and work with JavaScript functions and objects. This course presents the basic skills needed to incorporate JavaScript into HTML when building a Web page. As of January 2003 this course was updated to reflect HTML 4.0 (including CSS), JavaScript 1.5, and some XTHML 1.0 standards. Topics include Where Does JavaScript Fit In?, The Object-Oriented Focus of JavaScript, Your First Script, Working with Data and Information, Working with Expressions, and Functions and Objects.

Lesson 2: Using JavaScript for Interactivity (3.0) hours

Using JavaScript for Interactivity teaches you how to use event handlers with forms, create an interactive form, and use loops for repetition. This course presents the skills needed to create interactive forms and use JavaScript events and loops. As of January 2003 this course was updated to reflect HTML 4.0 (including CSS), JavaScript 1.5, and some XTHML 1.0 standards. Topics include Events in JavaScript, The Form Object, Creating Interactive Forms, and Loops.

Lesson 3: Using Advanced JavaScript (6.0) hours

Using Advanced JavaScript teaches you how to use frames, documents, and windows, use cookies, manipulate text strings, and work with the history list. This course presents the advanced tools available in JavaScript. As of January 2003 this course was updated to reflect HTML 4.0 (including CSS), JavaScript 1.5, and some XTHML 1.0 standards. Topics include Introduction to Frames, The document Object, The window Object, Introduction to Cookies, Cookies in JavaScript, Using Cookies in JavaScript, and Strings and the History List.
