Lesson 2: People Styles At Work (1.0) hour
People Styles At Work teaches you how to explain the value of flexing, describe the steps for flexing, determine your People Style, describe how to change your behavior toward a different People Style, and use the People Styles Flash Flex technique. This course provides information on how to use the People Styles Model to gain insight into the communication behavior of others. The course also shows how to adapt one's behavior to move toward a different People Style. This insight and the ability to apply it can help to improve communications with others. Topics include The People Styles Model, How to Flex, Understanding People Styles, and Flash Flexing.
Lesson 3: High Performance Communciation (1.0) hour
High Performance Communciation teaches you how to identify behaviors that can undermine the effectiveness of communication, identify the ingredients of effective communication, recognize considerations for speaking and listening, describe skills that contribute to more effective communication, and identify appropriate ways to respond during the communication cycle. This course provides information about improving communication skills. High performance communication involves understanding the components of effective communication. This course provides ways to avoid misunderstanding and to establish appropriate, productive ways to respond during the communication process. Topics include Communication Skills Matter, Communication Ingredients, Steps to Communication, and Where to Start.
Lesson 4: Resolving Conflict (1.0) hour
Resolving Conflict teaches you how to recognize the emotional nature of conflict, differentiate between chronic and situational conflict, identify reasons why people avoid conflict, identify ways to resolve conflict, and identify reasons for unsuccessful conflict resolution. This course provides information on recognizing and managing conflict, controlling your emotions, respecting the emotions of others, and reaching collaborative solutions. Topics include Encountering Conflict, The Nature of Conflict, Avoiding Conflict, Ways to Resolve Conflict, and If the Process Doesn't Work.
Lesson 5: Negotiating with Coworkers (1.0) hour
Negotiating with Coworkers teaches you how to describe negotiation, prepare for a negotiation, identify various negotiation tactics, and evaluate your negotiation skills. This course provides information on defining negotiation and recognizing what is negotiable. In addition, this course provides a variety of tactics and behaviors you can use to prepare for a negotiation. Topics include What Is Negotiation?, Preparing for a Dialogue, Tactics, and Practicing Your Skills.
