Getting Started

This course explains how to use Visio 2007 to create business and technical drawings and teaches you how to navigate and customize Visio 2007, and work with stencils, shapes, and drawings.

Working with Shapes

This course explains how to control shape size, position, and behavior It also explains how to apply themes and print shapes and teaches you how to identify shape types and their controls, control shape behavior using control handles, rotation handles and pins, control points, vertices, and eccentricity handles, apply color and effects themes to your drawings, configure print settings, and print your drawings.

Adding Connectors, Glue, and Text

This course explains how to connect Visio shapes with connectors, and how to modify the way connectors work It also explores the use of text in Visio drawings and teaches you how to use connectors to connect shapes in a Visio drawing, use glue to modify connector behavior, and add text to Visio drawings.

Using Guides, Rulers, and Custom Shapes

This course explains how to use the drawing grid and guides to draw, organize, and modify shapes and teaches you how to set a custom scale, create guidelines and guidepoints, enable and modify snapping, draw a closed shape, and set fills, patterns, and shadows for shapes.

Using Groups, Pages, and Layers

This course explains how to use themes, groups, pages, and layers in your Visio 2007 drawings and teaches you how to create custom color themes and effects, group and ungroup shapes, add, delete, and set the size of pages, add backgrounds to your pages, and use layers to organize shapes in your drawings.

Building Stencils, Templates, and Reports

This course explains both the out-of-the-box and customizable uses of Visio 2007 to work with stencils, templates and reports and teaches you how to customize stencils to reuse shapes for your drawings, customize templates to create a consistent look in your drawings, add data to shapes to include specific pieces of information, and create predefined and custom reports.

This course provides an introduction to the behavior of shapes It also covers how to work with markup and comments added to Visio drawings and teaches you how to describe how to change the behavior of a shape, lock shapes, layers, and drawings, describe how to add comments to drawings, identify how to add and view markup, describe how to add a reviewer's markup to your original document, and use digital ink.

Creating Block Drawings and Charts

This course explains the basic techniques used for working with block drawings It also covers creating various types of charts and graphs and teaches you how to identify the types of block drawing templates, modify block shapes, create trees, bar charts, line graphs and pie charts, and create a variety of marketing drawings.

Creating Organization Charts and Flowcharts

This course explains how to use the organization chart and flowchart templates in Visio 2007 and teaches you how to create organization charts based on predefined templates and the Organization Chart Wizard, format and adjust the layout of organization charts, compare different versions of an organization chart, and create a variety of flowchart diagrams.
